Commercial:
Enables businesses to perform specific commercial activities, including importing, exporting, selling, distributing, and storing the items listed under their licence.
Holding:
Ideal for entities managing assets and subsidiaries. This licence allows ownership and control without direct involvement in daily operations or commercial activities
Service:
Ideal for service-oriented businesses such as consultancy, hospitality, event management and educational or financial services
E-Commerce:
Enables businesses to trade goods or services online
Logistics:
Covers activities such as, Transporting, distributing, forwarding and clearing activities.
Industrial:
For light manufacturing activities, including packaging and assembly of items
Business:
Combines multiple categories under a single licence, allowing businesses to operate diverse activities such as service and commercial operations
Dual Licence Service:
Provides flexibility to operate under two licences—one issued by Expo City Dubai Authority and another by Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET)—from the same address within Expo City Dubai

SHORT-TERM SETUPS
Business Operation Permit (BOP)
Operate temporary setups at Expo City Dubai with flexible permits for one day to twelve months.
SHORT-TERM SETUPS
Event Operation Permit (EOP)
Organise or engage in dynamic events, whether hosted by Expo City or third-party organiser with flexible permits from one day to twelve months.
INDIVIDUAL
Freelance Permit
Designed for individual professionals who wish to work independently and reside in the UAE.
Who we are
The Expo City Dubai Authority was established in July 2022 Under Law 14 of 2022 to oversee and regulate all business operations within Expo City Dubai free zone, based on a legal framework and regulations endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum in November 2023.
Our role is to ensure compliance with these regulations to maintain the integrity and success of Expo City Dubai Free Zone.
