Marjan Faraidooni
Chief HR Officer and Chief of Education and Culture

Marjan Faraidooni has over 20 years of experience across academic institutions and government organizations in the UAE. Her areas of expertise include strategy, education, experience development, and human resources. She previously held the role of Director of Legacy and Chief Experience Officer at Expo 2020 Dubai, where she was responsible for developing the legacy strategy, visitor experience and the curation, development and operations of cultural exhibitions on themes related to sustainability and culture.
Marjan has dedicated her career to empowering people, especially youth, through innovative leadership and engagement programs. She led one of the largest youth engagement initiatives at a World Expo. Her focus on people-centric leadership led to her taking on the vital responsibility of managing Human Resources during Expo 2020, continuing to do so in its transition to a city.
Through years of working across diverse teams and initiatives to deliver high impact programs, Marjan has developed expertise in people management, large-scale complex program delivery, and the nurturing of inclusive, forward-thinking working environments. In her current role, she is responsible for education and public engagement, through key legacy assets and programs that are critical in delivering Expo City Dubai’s vision of being a human centric city with social impact.
Marjan previously worked at Dubai Holding and the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She holds a master’s degree in public health and a bachelor’s in human physiology from Boston University.
