About the company
EcoAct Tanzania is a social enterprise using a chemical free and energy conserving technology to recycle and transform ocean plastic waste and packaging materials into durable plastic timbers used for buildings, construction as well as furniture making. Through an innovative proprietary process, they convert packaging waste into quality sustainable materials, giving new life to low value, difficult-to-recycle, multi-layer plaster (MLP) waste, thereby advancing the circular economy in Tanzania and globally. EcoAct provides quality recycled materials which is high performing, cost-effective and has long term utility in construction applications. EcoAct Tanzania have received awards for helping poor families access affordable building materials made from recycled waste plastics.
